hello G1

T-Mobile G1 diary of a user.
I’m all for the cloud, it’s lovely fluffy abstraction of rows and rows of whirling raid arrays into a soft and friendly bosom. But i want to get my photos off thanks you very much. There’s no software to sync the G1 with a pc or mac.  But plugging it in via the usb port (which also charges it) allows you to mount the device as an external drive (like a usb pen drive).  Sadly iPhoto doesn’t recognize it as a camera - it does this effortlessly with memory cards from cameras/phones. So I have to manually import the items, something I’ve not had to do since the dark days of old.  The other issue is you have then go into settings to unmount it and remove it from being a usb drive.  otherwise the content isn’t available in the phone apps - this is seriously annoying. Not to mention quite hidden - though you do get some big warning messages pop up. This needs to be addressed - as it’s a mess currently.
